Description
The Vyper’s slim, low-profile housing makes vehicle
mounting and dismounting significantly easier when the
system is stowed. Built with Photonis image intensifier
tubes and mil-spec optics, the Vyper delivers unmatched
clarity and ruggedness in a lightweight frame.
The Vyper features the original Friction Lock
Interpupillary Adjustment, allowing users to “set it and
forget it” with no tools required. Despite its ultralight
weight, the Vyper does not compromise durability—
exceeding MIL-STD-810H and tested beyond NATO/
TOP standards, including drop tests from six feet onto
concrete in multiple orientations.

White Phosphor
The latest technological achievement providing the greatest clarity of image when operating
in urban, desert or forested environments. For these applications, the night vision user
should turn to a white phosphor tube. Studies have shown that night-time scenes appear
remarkably more natural in black and white versus the usual green. White phosphor also
provides much clearer information about the contrast, shapes and shadows within an environment.

Green
The industry standard for more than 40 years, green phosphor is the perfect choice for
operators that complete missions in the jungle or deep dark areas of the world. The enhanced
contrast and depth required for operating in these densely packed environments are
ideally suited to the green phosphor coating. The higher gains and stronger contrasts
of the green phosphor enable the clarity of image required for those operating without
the advantage of ambient light sources to enhance the image.

Ether™ Eyepiece
The Ether™ eyepiece is available as a rugged upgrade component for the Vyper 14™ and Vyper
14C™. The Ether™ eyepiece offers a larger eyebox and reduced overall weight when compared
to the eyepiece provided with a standard-issue night vision device. It also includes a
diopter adjustment to reduce the need to carry a separate vision correction component.
Ether™ eyepieces provide significant weight reduction – as much as 30% – when compared
to the eyepiece provided with most conventional night vision devices. NVD users who
frequently experience head and neck fatigue from heavy legacy devices will enjoy the
reduced weight of any NVD equipped with the Ether™ eyepiece.
