Photonis Defense Awarded U.S. Army BiNOD Contract for Advanced Night Vision Systems

Sturbridge, MA – 30 April 2026

Photonis Defense has been awarded a firm-fixed-price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Army Contracting Command in support of the U.S. Army’s Binocular Night Observation Device (BiNOD) program.

The contract, with a maximum value of $352.6 million, encompasses the development, production, and testing of advanced night vision systems and runs through February 27, 2033. Work scope, funding, and performance locations will be defined through task orders issued over the life of the program.

This award follows a full and open competitive process involving six initial bidders and reflects Photonis Defense’s demonstrated ability to deliver high-performance electro-optical systems aligned with U.S. Army requirements.
